Lets talk about oily goodness...

Essential oils... have you ever used them? Like many people, they have been a part of my life in one form or another for as long as I can remember. Remedies and uses passed on through the ages from grandmother to mother and aunts, then passed down to me and my sister. Some purely for their scents, others for health, wellness and household uses. A few drops of lavender sprinkled on a pillow for a sound sleep; eucalyptus to help with a cold or snuffly nose, use as a disinfectant or rinse aid; tea tree oil for everything under the sun, particularly when it came to cuts and grazes; peppermint oil to help keep the tiny little kitchen ants away; a drop of clove oil on a cotton bud cautiously applied for a toothache (you sure don't want to taste that stuff!!) and beautiful neroli used as a scent.
